21 - Fete de la Musique (France, Switzerland, ...) - Music in the streets and concerts galore, all free. Look around locally for more info. Often you can find big names performing.

14 - Bastille Day (France) - Celebrations throughout the country. Fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, with a concert on the Champ de Mars. Be aware of metro & RER closures; walking in Paris advised.
